Outlaw Mods Ready To Roll At Freedom Motorsports Park Friday

Story By: CHARLIE LANGLOIS / FREEDOM MOTORSPORTS PARK – DELEVAN, NY – They’re back. The Prime Time Energy Services Outlaw Modifieds return to Freedom Motorsports Park after a one week absence this Friday, June 2.

Joining the Outlaw Modifieds on Bellinger Electric Night will be the Tidds Towing DIRTcar Sportsman in a special Bellinger Electric Lightning Sportsman Series $1000 to win race along with the Pioneer Ford Street Stocks and the Danny Heineman & Sons Plumbing Mini Stocks. The green flag is scheduled for 7:30 pm on Friday June 2.

The Lightning Series was created by Brian Bellinger, driver of the 7B DIRTcar Sportsman and long time dirt racer. Many invading Sportsman competitors are expected for Bellinger Electric Lightning Sportsman Series $1000 to win event. Show up points will be awarded for this show.

Opening night on May 19 showcased the inaugural event of the Prime Time Energy Services Outlaw Modifieds. The highly competitive feature did not disappoint as Brad Rapp out of Meadville, Pennsylvania, took down his first Modified win in six years with a late race pass of Ron Cartwright Jr. Rapp was driving a big block Modified. Drivers from New York, Pennsylvania and Canada were in competition. There were five New York, three Canadian and two Pennsylvania drivers in the top ten, as different motor and tire combinations created action on every lap. The new clay surfaced produced three wide racing on the 1/3 mile oval. Shayne Pierce had the fastest circuit of the night at 15.054.

Although Mother Nature forced cancellation of two of the first three weeks including the ULMS Murphy’s Logging Super Late Model Ron Baker Memorial event on Friday May 26, track promoter Bob Reis is working with ULMS officials on a new date for the Super Late Models special.

Bring the family out for a great night of racing at the area’s fastest 1/3 mile clay oval. Grandstands open at 6:00 pm and racing starts at 7:30. Adult grandstand admission is only $13, $12 for Seniors, $7 for Students (9-15) and kids under 8 are admitted free.
