Oswego’s ‘Divas On Track’ Program Returns In 2017

Story By: CAMDEN PROUD / OSWEGO SPEEDWAY – OSWEGO, NY – One of the very best ways to get younger fans involved at Oswego Speedway, the Oswego Speedway ‘Divas on Track’ program will return to the track this season beginning with Saturday’s 67th annual Opening Day presented by Mitchell’s Speedway Press.

Led by trophy girl Mackenzie Coleman and established prior to the 2015 season, Oswego Speedway Divas on Track allows girls ages 5-18 to be trophy girl for the night at the Steel Palace.

Over two dozen divas have signed up and participated in the program over the course of the past two seasons to take part in the evening’s trophy girl activities with Coleman, which include presenting awards to drivers and posing with the Pathfinder Bank SBS and Novelis Supermodified heat and feature winners in victory lane.

Coleman hopes to continue the success she has enjoyed with the program and is eager to meet all of the new divas for the 2017 season.

“We started the divas program what seems like yesterday and I am very pleased with how much it has grown,” Coleman said. “I wanted to do this growing up, so to now have the opportunity to have fun with these beautiful young ladies who take pride in getting all dressed up and ready to go every Saturday night is very cool. It’s nice to live something I experience each weekend through their eyes. I’m looking forward to meeting all of our new participants this season.”
