Lancaster To Hold “Rockin’ The Raceway” June 15th
Story By: DAVE BUCHANAN / LANCASTER SPEEDWAY – LANCASTER, NY – Lancaster National Speedway & Dragway (LNS&D), in conjunction with Backstage Productions, is proud to announce the “Rockin’ the Raceway” show on Thursday, June 15.
“Rockin’ the Raceway” will feature KISS Army, in support of their 25th anniversary tour plus two epic tribute bands. KISS Army, the “coolest band in the world”, is America’s best KISS tribute band.
They have toured across the United States for 25 years and will bring their authentic stage performance to WNY’s Premier Motorsports and Event facility, Lancaster National Speedway, for their only Western New York appearance.
Joining KISS Army will be Metal Militia, a renowned Metallica tribute band, and local favorite party band, 1980 Something. Gates will open at 5:30 p.m. on June 15 with the show slated to begin at 6:30.
“We saw the response to the major concert we had last year and we were pleased with the results,” said Tim Packman, Track President.
“There were a lot of people who came to Lancaster that had never been to our facility before. This year, we decided to go with a more intimate type of show that would attract several genres of music lovers.
“Backstage Productions was able to procure KISS Army, who is known around the country, and adding Metal Militia and 1980 Something will make for a great night for everyone.”
Tickets are just $15 and are available at the Lancaster National Speedway office during normal business hours or during any event. This is a general admission show being performed in the Hot Pits area of the facility near the facility’s main concourse. Concession stands will be open during the concert, serving food and alcoholic beverages.
LNS&D is hoping to schedule additional shows that are similar in size and nature for later in the 2017 season.
