Cory Haas Comes Home 12th Against World Of Outlaws At Lincoln
Story By: ANTHONY CORINI / TRONE OUTDOOR MOTORSPORTS – YORK, PA – With 45 of the best sprint cars in the country signed in, Haas and Trone Outdoor Motorsports started their Outlaw weekend on a good note by finishing 12th at Lincoln. “We were pretty good all night,” Haas said. “I could move around on the racetrack, I think we had a top ten car. It was good to have speed against those guys.” Haas sits sixth in the Lincoln Speedway point standings.
Haas and Trone Outdoor Motorsports headed to Williams Grove Friday and Saturday but came up two and three spots short of transferring to the feature, respectively on the weekend.
“With the Outlaw format, you need to time well. We didn’t time well enough. We weren’t far off, but enough,” Haas said following Saturday’s event.
Haas and Trone Motorsports have a busy weekend upcoming depending on weather once again. Haas will be at Williams Grove and Lincoln for their weekly shows and has not ruled out running the Weikert Memorial on Sunday at Port Royal. Stay tuned to see where the Trone #39 ends up racing this weekend.
