Story By: MATTHEW WIERNASZ / RPW – LEE, NH – Lee USA Speedway will kickoff their NASCAR Whelen All American Series Friday night racing this Friday. The track has already two events with openers for the ACT Tour and Granite State Pro Stock Series. Dillon Moltz took down the win in the ACT Tour Governor’s Cup while Jeremy Davis took down the win in the opener of the Granite State Pro Stock Series. Joe Bassett has returned to Lee USA Speedway as the General Manager. With Bassett taking the helm of the General Manager, there is a lot of excitement at the Seacoast oval.

Lee will feature special events throughout the 2017 season. The Granite State Pro Stock Series will be at Lee USA Speedway on July 7th as Bassett is excited to have the series twice. The race on July 7th will be 100 laps. The Valenti Modified Racing Series will visit the 3/8 mile oval three times on Saturday of Memorial Day Weekend on May 27th, July 21st, and Oktoberfest weekend on October 7th & 8th.

The Pro All Star Series North Super Late Models will make a return to the 3/8 mile oval on June 23rd and August 4th. Besides the ISMA Supers, Bassett believes the Pro Stocks are the best crowds that attend their races. Lee has a rich history with Pro Stock/Super Late Model racing.

The Olie Silva Memorial will return to Lee USA Speedway with the ISMA Supermodifieds on Friday night August 11th.

” Big Block Supers at Lee USA Speedway is just a phenomenal show. Just to watch those cars jump when they come off the corner and go down the straightaways and go down into the corner. When they go into the corner, there bottom grove is the second groove. They carry so much speed. They can’t pinch it off to the bottom.” Bassett Said

The car counts are building at Lee with the Late Model Sportsman having 20 cars along with the Hobby Stocks is building up nicely, and the Ironman division had 20 cars at some of the races last year. The Pure Stocks are starting to grow as well. The focus for Bassett is on the weekly show with building on that and making it better so he can add to it in the future instead of trying to add something to it and work on everything all at the same time.

The Midway has been expanded at Lee USA Speedway. The Midway will have a kids zone with enlarging the playground on the front straightaway.

The action will kickoff this Friday at 7 PM
