Woodhull Sponsor Set To Improve Fan’s Track Experience

Story By: STEVEN OVENS / WOODHULL RACEWAY – WOODHULL, NY – One of the Southern Tier’s leaders in quality construction and sprayfoam installation has joined the leader in Saturday night short track excitement to improve the fan experience in 2017 at ‘New York’s Toughest Bullring.’

Woodhull Raceway is proud to announce that Williams Construction and Sprayfoam, LLC has joined as a marketing partner, in conjunction with their sponsorship commitments with several racers across the weekly divisions at Woodhull. The Williams brand will be prominently seen in the 370 Modified division and Crate Sportsman divisions with Daugherty Racing drivers Chris and Jeffery Daugherty, as well as on the No. 26 for defending Front Wheel Drive track champion Shawn Gleason.

Owner Dan Williams and Woodhull Raceway owner Ted White have come together to utilize the added marketing dollars to make improvements to enhance the fan experience in the grandstands as well as the VIP booths high atop the frontstretch. The speedway will invest in an updated Public Address sound system as well as increase the number of loud speakers along the grandstand area.

This will also impact the loyal fans that rent season-long VIP booths that also want to listen in on the action called from the announcer’s booth. Woodhull Raceway operates an FM transmitter each week that simulcasts the live action on station 107.9FM, that can be dialed in on any FM receiver on the track’s propety. Fans are encouraged to bring radio/headsets that receive AM/FM signal, as they too can listen in to the call of the race as the loud stock cars scream by.

Woodhull Raceway will employ the services of speedway supporter, Creekside Entertainment, to order, install and fine-tune the new PA system in preparation for opening night on April 15th.

An Open Practice session is slated for Saturday April 8th, with Opening Night scheduled for Saturday April 15th. This Saturday’s practice session is very dependent on the weather this week, so teams and fans are encouraged to sign up for the track’s Rained Out Alert System. The 370 Modifieds will debut on Saturday April 29th.
