With Practice Done, Ryan Heath’s Ready To Start Season
Story By: RYAN HILL / RYAN HEATH RACING – WEST LEBANON, NY – Sportsman Modified driver Ryan Heath started his 2017 season this past weekend with practice sessions at Albany-Saratoga Speedway on Friday, and visiting the high banks of Lebanon Valley Speedway on Saturday.
Ryan is the driver of the Blue Cord Media Troyer Chassis 6R. Albany-Saratoga Speedway will be his home track for 2017, and the team is excited with their results from Friday’s night practice at The Great Race Place.
” Friday night at Malta was a giant success ” said Heath. The car was a tad tight in our first session because the track was tacky and heavy. Once the track started to slick off the car came to us. I was very happy with the way our car performed on Friday.”
The family racing operation made a quick turnaround to get the car prepared to practice on Saturday. The 6R team was able to get the car ready and make the tow from Huntington, MA to the high banks of Lebanon Valley Speedway.
” Lebanon Valley on Saturday was more of a challenge than we experienced on Friday at Malta. It had been almost one year since I had been back to The Valley” said Heath. Our first set of practice was horrible, the car was really tight. We made small changes each session, and by our last time out the car was actually very good. Our corner speeds improved as well as our lap times.”
Ryan officially opens his season this Friday April 21st, at Albany-Saratoga Speedway in Malta, NY. Ryan is very excited to start the season saying that he ” cant wait to see how the car goes in a crowd!”
