Stambaugh To Make All Star Debut Saturday At Atomic
Story By: TYLER ALTMEYER / RAY MARSHALL MOTORSPORTS – ELIDA, OH – In hopes of creating a streak of top-five performances aboard the Ray Marshall Motorsports/Buckeye Machine and Fabricators/No. 33M, “Mad Max” Stambaugh will continue his 2017 campaign on Saturday evening, April 8, with a visit to the Atomic Speedway in Chillicothe, Ohio, this time joining the Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions for the first time since his trek south to Ocala, Florida.
Stambaugh, a 2017 Rookie of the Year contender with the Arctic Cat All Stars aboard the Ray Marshall Motorsports entry, entered three Arctic Cat All Star programs while in action at Bubba Raceway Park in Ocala, each aboard his family-owned No. 5M. The upcoming Atomic Speedway visit, awarding a $5,000 top prize, will be Stambaugh’s first Arctic Cat All Star start for Ray Marshall Motorsports in 2017.
“I am definitely excited to get the rest of the All Star season underway,” Max Stambaugh explained. “I can’t thank Ray Marshall and the entire crew enough for this opportunity. We showed speed right out of the box during our most recent start, so the plan is to move that momentum ahead and use it on Saturday at Atomic. Not racing the Volusia events put me a little behind the eight ball in points, but Ray Marshall gives me the equipment necessary to be successful. I’m confident we’ll make up the ground needed to become the 2017 All Star Rookie of the Year.”
“Mad Max” Stambaugh has one start to his credit thus far in 2017 for Ray Marshall Motorsports, finishing fifth from the fourth row during the Attica Raceway Park season opener out of nearly 40 entries. The Elida, Ohio, native is currently 19th in the Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions point standings.
