Story By: MATT KEITH / ALBANY-SARATOGA SPEEDWAY – MALTA, NY – Everything was ready for the season opener on Friday night at Albany-Saratoga Speedway until steady rain at around 5 p.m. forced management to postpone until next Friday, April 28.

“The track was prepped and we were excited for the season to start,” said promoter Lyle DeVore, “but unfortunately you can’t stop Mother Nature. As disappointing as it is, we will have to wait until next week to get the 2017 season started.”

The schedule will remain the same for April 28 with racing beginning at 7 p.m. The $3,000 to win Modified feature will headline the night’s program that will also include 4-Cylinders, the Sowle Trailer Repair Sportsman event and the “Featherfoot” Pro Stock Series race.

Pit gates will open at 4 p.m. and the grandstand gate will open at 5 p.m.
