NBC Sports Network To Air NASCAR Mod Tour From Oswego
Column By: JOHN DOUGLAS / RPW – OSWEGO, NY – Oswego Speedway is mainly known for its rich history as the only weekly track in the United States that runs the Super Modified on a weekly basis. Just as important to many is the history of NASCAR Modified Tour racing at the 5/8ths mile oval. That history added a new chapter when NASCAR’s oldest touring division came back to the Steel Palace in 2016 after a long hiatus.
This year’s event adds more to that new chapter as NBC Sports Network will air tape delayed coverage of the Toyota Mod Classic 150 on Spetember, 7th at 7pm. The national spotlight will shine brightly on the City of Oswego and the historic speedway as part of NBC Sports Network’s plan to air the final swing of NASCAR’s Regional Touring Series including the K&N Series East and West Championships and the NASCAR Tour Modified Series.
Along with the NASCAR Modifieds, the ISMA Super Modifieds will be in attendance for a 60 lap main event as part of Bud Classic Weekend at the speedway which takes place Saturday September 2nd, and Sunday September 3rd of this year.
