NASCAR Racing Returns To Grandview This Saturday
Story By: ERNIE SAXTON / GRANDVIEW SPEEDWAY – BECHTELSVILLE, PA – Fans coming out for the NASCAR stock car racing action at Grandview Speedway this Saturday will be in for quite a treat. As a result of the rainout last Saturday racers will be “chomping at the bit” to get back on the track and offer fans even more clay track racing excitement than they normally see.
The Saturday night action will include the TP Trailers NASCAR 358 Modifieds along with the BRC Late Models and Sportsman stock cars. At least 12 events of racing will be presented topped off by a 30-lap feature for the Modifieds as point leader Craig VonDohren, Jeff Strunk, Duane Howard and others continue to battle for the lucrative NASCAR and track titles. The BRC Late Models and Sportsman will be seen in 25-lap features.
Spectator gates open at 5 p.m. with racing action getting the green at 7 p.m. As usual the Low Down and Dirty Internet Radio sponsored Meet and Greet, featuring two of the racers scheduled to take part in the racing events, will take place at the main gate area starting at 5 p.m. This Saturday it will be modified racing standout Ryan Watt along with Sportsman ace Brad Arnold.
Adult admission is just $15 while youngsters 11 and under are admitted free.
When the May 6th tripleheader is presented the gates will open at 5:30 p.m. with racing action starting at 7:30 p.m. This will be the starting times through until the big Freedom 76 Classic weekend in September.
Coming up on Sunday, May 7th, 1 p.m. will be the second appearance of the season for the Enduro racers and Blast from the Past Vintage racers. These doubleheader shows continuing to gain fan support. Adult admission is just $10.
