Story By TYLER ALTMEYER / MICHAEL MOTORSPORTS – FREMONT, OH – Unfortunately, T.J. Michael’s return to Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions competition ended with results outside of expectation; finishing 21st on Sunday evening, April 9, at Atomic Speedway near Chillicothe, Ohio.

The 2016 Arctic Cat All Star Rookie of the Year runner-up ignited his evening in southern Ohio with the 17th fastest time during qualifying time trials, ultimately forced to enter the consolation B-main due to a seventh place finish during heat race competition. Michael would eventually transfer, setting up his climb from 24th on the grid to finish 21st.

“Things just didn’t go our way last night. It’s a part of the sport. We take nights like those and learn from them,” T.J. Michael explained, a Plano, Texas, native who now resides in Fremont, Ohio. “We didn’t put ourselves in an ideal position after qualifying. We felt great during the B-main, but just couldn’t get rolling during the feature. We’ll shake it off and move forward. This week is a new week.”

The “Texas Traveler” will continue his 2017 Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions season with a visit to the Attica Raceway Park in Attica, Ohio, on Saturday, April 15. Michael, pilot of the Michael Motorsports/Advanced Cast Stone/Fremont Fence Company/Kear’s Speed Shop/Shell Shock/Hinchman Suits/Big D’s Pizza of Fremont and Clyde/Crown Battery/Kistler Racing Engines/J&J Auto Racing/MJ Webb Enterprises/Roy Hardin Masonry/Wood Heating & Air Conditioning/Pro Tech Service Company/HRP/ No. 8M, is certainly no stranger to Attica Raceway Park, earning a 305 cubic inch sprint car victory in 2015, also finishing ninth during the 2017 Attica Raceway Park season opener on Friday, March 24.

“We’re excited to get back to Attica Raceway Park,” Michael explained. “We turned some solid laps there earlier this year. We plan to bust out our notebook and repeat that performance. I can’t thank my family, supporters and crew enough for this opportunity. To race full-time with the All Stars is a dream come true.”
