Hoosier Tires Continues Supports of King Of Dirt
Story By: ROB HAZER / KING OF DIRT – FONDA, NY – Hoosier Racing tire has been involved with King Of Dirt Racing since it’s inception back in 2015. They have offered a series of tire rewards for tour regulars for the Sportsman Modified division over the past two seasons. Heading into 2017 the official tire of KOD will again offer the Hoosier Tire Hard Charger, but this time for all three touring divisions (Small Block Modified, Sportsman, and Pro Stock).
Hoosier Racing Tires are proudly made in the USA at their Plymouth Indiana manufacturing plant. They have multiple distributors across the country involved with their extensive distribution network with one goal; to have Hoosier Racing Tires available for drivers and/or tracks when they are needed.
During the 2017 season each division (Small Block Modified, Sportsman, and Pro Stock) will have four KOD series events where the Hard Charger will result in a free tire courtesy of Hoosier Racing tire. The decision to share the wealth with each division was one tour promoter Rob Hazer made with drivers in mind.
“We primarily had been awarding the tires to the Sportsman division over the past couple of years. This year Hoosier was willing to give us a few more tire certificates and allow us to spread them out as we saw fit through our three divisions and that’s awesome. I wanted to share the wealth sort of speak with all of our divisions of racing,” said KOD Promoter Rob Hazer.
Elmo’s Speed Supply KOD Small Block Modifieds will see the Hoosier Racing Tire Hard Charger reward them with a free tire of choice during the June 13th event at Devil’s Bowl Speedway, July 9th event at Utica Rome Speedway, July 30th event at Lebanon Valley Speedway, and the September 8th Small Block Nationals at Albany-Saratoga Speedway.
1-800-GOT-JUNK? KOD Sportsman division presented by Dean’s Electrical Services and Dodson Construction will find the Hoosier Racing Tire Hard Charger rewards giving them a free tire of choice during the May 14th Lid Lifter at Utica Rome Speedway, the Green Mountain State Clash May 28th at Devil’s Bowl Speedway, the Wednesday Night Lights event on August 15th at Albany-Saratoga Speedway, and the August 31st Mr. Crate Track USA event at Lebanon Valley Speedway.
Lazzaro’s Auto Body KOD Pro Stock division will be rewarded with a tire of choice via the Hoosier Racing Tire Hard Charger during the May 14th Lid Lifter at Utica Rome Speedway, the Pro Stock Classic June 2nd at Albany-Saratoga Speedway, the August 26th event at Lebanon Valley Speedway, and the Carl Vladyka Memorial season finale at Devil’s Bowl Speedway.
“Tim Web is a great guy and does a lot to support racing at Malta, so he’s going to be on board again sponsoring the Saratoga Masonry Hard Charger during the Albany-Saratoga Races. So I decided to spread the certificates around to other races and throughout the divisions. We always try to do what we can for drivers in all divisions,” concluded Rob Hazer.
The 2017 King Of Dirt Racing Small Block Modified season kicks off Tuesday June 13th at Devil’s Bowl Speedway with a rain date of Wednesday June 14th. The King Of Dirt Racing Sportsman and Pro Stocks kick off the season Sunday May 14th at Utica Rome Speedway where last year qualifying spots were at a premium due to overwhelming car counts in both divisions.
With the schedule now set and the rules up on the website, it’s only a matter of time before a very busy season of racing gets underway for King Of Dirt Racing.
