Story By: ROB HAZER / KING OF DIRT – FONDA, NY – As if being part of an epic Tony Stewart All Star Circuit Of Champions 410 Outlaw Sprint night at Lebanon Valley Speedway wasn’t enough for the Elmo’s Speed Supply King Of Dirt Small Block Modifieds, two well-known racing names stepped up to support and add to the purse for the 35-lap event. Please welcome Herrington Farms and DMC Racing Products to the family of marketing partners at King Of Dirt Racing.

Jason Herrington drives the big red number one at Lebanon Valley in the Small Block Modified division and will be on tour in 2017. A likeable personality and a friendly face at the track makes him a fan favorite. He’s also an avid supporter of dirt track racing in many different divisions. He’s supported Modified, Sportsman, and Pro Stock races in the past on the high banks. This season he’ll be a presenting sponsor of the KOD Small Block event to take place at the valley of speed on July 30th.

Bobby Chalmers has a long history of working in and on the sport of dirt track racing. He’s a former racer turned businessman, but also enjoys giving back. He organizes races on the high banks including the Jim Langenback Memorial Old Buzzard 30 and Bubba Tanner Memorial for Pro Stock drivers. During the 2017 season the former Small Block racer will join Herrington as presenting sponsors of the KOD Small Block event July 30th at Lebanon Valley.

“Jason is a super nice guy. The conversation came about when he was checking in on me when I was in the hospital and he was all for being part of KOD as both driver and supporter. He’s done things for us in the past on the Sportsman side as well,” said KOD Promoter Rob Hazer.

“I’ve known Bobby since I wrote for Race Pro 15 years ago. He’s always looking for ways to help the sport and we need guys like that. It took some sweet talking as he’s a hard egg to crack, but in the end I think he’s excited to be part of it all and we’re happy to have him,” concluded Rob Hazer.

Both event sponsors monetary amounts will be added to the base purse making it a healthy pot for the Small Block Modified drivers competing that night during the KOD event. Those details will come out on the event page and advertising flyers. The quest to be the first Small Block Modified king begins June 13th at Devil’s Bowl Speedway. #KOD #HailToTheKing #DareToWin
