Bare and Stephen Childress led the field to green with Bare take the top spot out of turn 2. On lap 6 Childress brought out a caution as he tried getting to the inside of Bare for the lead out of turn 4. That put Justin Williams on Bare’s bumper for the restart.

Williams would hold the lead until lap 15 when Bare would get inside Williams in turn 1 trapping him behind a lapped car. Bare would slide up in front of Williams and the two made contact.

Williams finally got back to Bare’s bumper on lap 21 picking him up and caring him down the frontstretch. Bare was able to keep control of his car and the lead.
