Story By: RYAN HILL / RPW – SELINSGROVE, PA – The karts and stars of The Burris Money Series descended upon Selinsgrove Speedway on Sunday for the Pennsylvania State Championships’ second event of 2017.

The week leading up to BMS race # 2 was full of ominous weather forecasts that seemed to have the event seriously threatened to be cancelled, but come race day on Sunday the sun was out and the race teams enjoyed a beautiful spring day.

Once again mother nature made it extremely cold the night before the race, which forced the series officials to run practice longer than usual. Once the track was ready, the racers were provided a smooth, fast racing surface, with a very wide groove all day long.

Series Promoter Keith Blumenstein Sr was very happy with how the day went for his series and it’s racers.

“I watched a lot of the classes come down to the last lap for the win” Keith said. “We had some classes with four wide racing, and it was intense all day long. I would like to thank all the racers and their families for coming out to BMS # 2.”

Quentin Graham won the Clone 375 class feature and he too was happy with the day’s event. “ The track was smooth , there was a lot of really good racing, I loved it.”

Keith and the entire Burris Money Series staff look forward to seeing everyone at BMS #3 , which is The Burris Money Series Spring National at Red Rock Raceway in Pavia, PA on May 6, 2017.

The main event for the day will be the Pro Clone 375 class which will be paying $2,000 to win.

All racers planning to attend the Spring National event at Red Rock Raceway need to make sure they arrive PRIOR to 8AM to ensure they get parked and registered.

The BMS is expecting a huge turnout for #3 and any racers interested in attending or looking for information should head over to the BMS series Facebook page for up to the date race, parking, and event information. The Burris Money Series can also be found at their website burrismoneyseries.com
