Story By: TYLER ALTMEYER / MICHAEL MOTORSPORTS – FREMONT, OH – With the HD Supply Spring Nationals at Attica Raceway Park in the books, persevering for an 18th place finish after having to start 24th on the feature grid, the “Texas Traveler” T.J. Michael will push forward and continue his second, full year on the road with the Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions by preparing for his first of four Wayne County Speedway starts of 2017.

“Orrville’s Historic Oval” is certainly not a new destination for the Plano, Texas, native, recording a career-high second place finish during weekly action in 2015.

“Attica went OK for us, just not really what we were looking for,” Michael said. “I’m proud of everyone involved, regardless. We didn’t get through our heat race, so we had to qualify for the main event the hard way and transfer through the B-main. We persevered, and that’s what’s most important.”

Michael, pilot of the Michael Motorsports/Advanced Cast Stone/Fremont Fence Company/Kear’s Speed Shop/Shell Shock/Hinchman Suits/Big D’s Pizza of Fremont and Clyde/Crown Battery/Kistler Racing Engines/ J&J Auto Racing, MJ Webb Enterprises/Roy Hardin Masonry/Wood Heating & Air Conditioning/Pro Tech Service Company/HRP/No. 8M, will enter action at Wayne County Speedway for the first time this season on Saturday, April 22. The 2016 Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions Rookie of the Year runner-up will enter the upcoming program currently seventh in the Arctic Cat All Star championship standings, still working to earn his first top-ten finish of the 2017 season.

“My crew continues to give me a race car that has the potential to be up front,” Michael explained. “All we need now is some momentum and a little extra confidence. Saturday is a new day. We have a long season ahead, so the last thing we’ll do is get discouraged.”
