Improvements Continue At Ransomville Speedway
Story By: STEVE PETTY / RANSOMVILLE SPEEDWAY – RANSOMVILLE, NY – With the 2017 season just around the corner, the Atwal Family and track management of the Ransomville Speedway are going full speed ahead with track improvements to the property.
In late February, work began on a brand new concession stand in the concourse area after the demolition of the old structure. “The new concession stand will be bigger than the old one” stated Ransomville General Manager Jenn Martin. “All of our great concession stand fare will be held in one building” Martin added. The new concession stand will be in the exact same location as the one that was torn down.
Besides the new concession stand, there will also be updated and brand new restrooms to greet race fans. The bathrooms that sit underneath the VIP Tower will become the Men’s restroom with updated stalls, urinals and sinks. There will be a brand new women’s restroom next to the updated and renovated men’s restroom. The restrooms that were located behind the turn four grandstands have also been torn down.
Parco Building Systems will be the builders as HyTech Concrete will be laying the concrete for all the projects.
The new concession stand and restrooms comes soon after the renovation to the VIP Tower, the brand new Souvenir Stand and Speedway Office and the Jumbotron that was completed in 2016.
In the spring, HyTech Concrete will be laying down concrete pads on the front row of the pit area. Located in Newfane, NY, HyTech Concrete has been in business since 1979 providing quality and professional services for all of your concrete needs. The 358 Modifieds will be allowed to pit on the new concrete pads. Pads can be rented for $300 a season. Salerno’s Snowplowing and Landscaping clears driveways and parking lots during the winter months and do landscaping work, leveling of stone and dirt piles, bush hogging, lawn rolling, garden tilling and more throughout the rest of the year. There is also still time for those 16 years of age and older that are looking to be apart of Team Ransomville. Ransomville is looking for experienced fry cooks, and scorers. We are also looking for concession stand help as well as 50/50 ticket sellers and applicants to be the 2017 Miss Ransomville.
