The Whatley, MA driver is planning to return to Monadnock Speedway to compete full time in the Sportsman Modified division as well as defend his 2016 Super Stock championship. He is also planning to run a limited schedule in the Late Model division at Stafford Motor Speedway.

Monahan is planning to run the first PASS North Super Late Model next weekend at the Icebreaker. Monahan wanted to get to Thompson last season but had a full schedule at Monadnock and running for rookie of the year in the late model division at Stafford.
” It will definitely be neat I am excited to get in there. Just getting my feet wet. Try it out. Everyone told its a bunch of fun.” Monahan Said
Monahan ran in the ACT Tour Invitational last fall during the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series weekend at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. Monahan thought it was pretty cool and thought it was great to just even get invited to race at the Magic Mile. He tested up there last August and had a blast.
” Really its like nothing else. Its probably definitely the most I ever had in a car. I was just happy to get through. It meant a lot. I had a lot of family up there watching.I know its a good time and we’re going to make it back this year.” Monahan Said
Monahan had a lot of fun at Stafford last season. He doesn’t believe he will run full time at the Connecticut half mile oval because of his busy schedule. He will definitely be down there for a few races at least.
Monahan took down the 2016 Super Stock championship at Monadnock Speedway. Monahan did not have the point lead the whole year. He was back and fourth with the point lead. Once championship night came and was done, Monahan was just glad it was off his shoulders and the night was finally over and had the championship wrapped up.
His goals for this year are to run for another championship in the Super Stock and run as competitive as possible in the Sportsman Modified division.
