Enduro Series Set To Go At Merrittville Speedway

Looking for some initiative to jump-start your Enduro Car?

Spring is here and the first qualifier accelerated by Niagara College is about 2 months away … Challenge family members … friends and co-workers … there is still plenty of time to put a car together. Enduro Racing is part SCIENCE, part STUNT, part INFO-TAINMENT and always 100% ADRENALINE and OUTRAGEOUS FUN.

“Vansickle PetValu is all about fun times and great experiences with our pets,” said franchisee Jeff Riley, “and Enduro Racing is all about fun times and great experiences as well … we look forward to hosting the qualifiers and the 100 lap Finale… we’d like to issue a challenge – Get yourself a car and join in!”

“It’s pretty basic,” adds (Merrittville Owner) Don Spiece, “it’s a street car with safety modifications – everything else is stock as you found it … an Enduro Car is not a race car – it’s a car that races. Maybe it’s time you put a beating on your Winter Beater … someone you know may have a wreck that they want to get rid of or your closest automotive recycler may have something for you!”

Push up your sleeves and get your hands dirty. Cars will be jacked up, busted apart and pushed to the limit and beyond. You’ll crash, skid, swerve, slam and demolish your way through 100 laps. Settle the bragging rights in the family … on your street … on your team or on the job!

Who can run in the Enduro Series Events?

Throughout the history of Enduro Racing at Merrittville – a complete roster would include some of our regular Saturday Night Bobcat of Hamilton Weekly Racing Series Racers … drivers that may specialize in events such as these or Demolition Derbies and first time competitors.

Minimum age is 16.

When are the 2017 Enduro Series Events?

Saturday May 20th when the Pen Centre presents the first Qualifier

Saturday June 24th when Avondale Food Stores presents the Lucas Oil Empire Super Sprints

Saturday July 29th when W Abrasives presents the final Qualifier

Please note the following schedule change as the Vansickle PetValu & Groomingdale’s 100 lap Enduro is now Sunday August 27th as part of the Seaway Mall Smash-o-Rama Event

Vansickle PetValu is dedicated to helping local pets in need and partners with local shelters, rescues and charities for adoption events, in store adoptions and pet food bank programs as well as through national donation drives and fund raising campaigns.

“For the third straight year we are hosting an Adopt-a-thon at our store from April 20th to the 26th,” said Riley, “we will attempt to find forever homes for almost a 100 dogs … we have special events planned … it’s a great fundraiser for sheltered pets.”

In association with B.A.R.K. (Boudreaux’s Animal Rescue Krewe) a non-profit No Kill Animal shelter from Louisianna are partnering with the Welland Humane Society in an attempt to find between 80 – 100 dogs a new forever home. There will be cats up for adoption at this time as well.
