Story By: DAN KAPUSCINSKI / DAN KAPUSCINSKI MOTORSPORTS PROMOTION – OSWEGO, NY – Dan Kapuscinski Motorsports Promotions will present the DKMP Hard Charging Winner bonus in the Pathfinder Bank SBS division at Oswego Speedway for the 2017 season.

The $25 cash bonus will be presented to the night’s feature winner if they were also declared the evening’s Hard Charger, advancing the most positions in the night’s main event.

If the night’s main event winner is not the Hard Charger, then the bonus will carry on to the following race meet with another $25 added to the bonus total. Under this formula, if the winner bonus has not been claimed heading into the final event of the regular season, then the winner’s share would be up to $275.

When the DKMP Hard Charging Winner is finally declared then the bonus will start over at $25 for the following week.

“The Pathfinder Bank SBS division is one of the tightest and most competitive divisions in all of short track racing,” said Dan Kapuscinski. “A driver that advances the most positions in the night’s feature and wins the main event, is certainly deserving of some extra cash and I am happy to help support the class through Dan Kapuscinski Motorsports Promotions.”

Mike Bond was the only main event winner in 2016 that was also declared the hard charger in the same event. Bond accomplished that feat in the last regular season event of the year on August 20.

No driver accomplished the feat in 2015 with Russ Brown pulling it off in consecutive weeks in 2014.

Should the entire 2017 regular season pass without a driver collecting the Hard Charging Winner bonus then fans will have an opportunity to vote for how the money will be dispersed during the Bud Light SBS Classic 75 on Sunday, September 3.

Fans will have the opportunity to vote for the $275 bonus to be given to the Classic champion, the Classic quick timer, the 11th fastest qualifier in time trials, the Classic Hard Luck driver, or to be split between the Semi-Final winners during Classic qualifying on Friday evening.
