Hotels Offer Affordable Options For RoC 250 At Lake Erie

Story By: RACE OF CHAMPIONS – ERIE, PA – In a cooperative effort among hotel properties throughout Erie County, Pennsylvania, the Erie Sports Commissions and Race of Champions management have agreed to provide participants and fans with several affordable lodging opportunities at the hotel of their choice throughout the duration of the Race of Champions 250 event at Lake Erie Speedway (PA) September 28, 29 and 30.

“We want the motorsports community to be welcomed with open arms,” offered Ron Sertz, Executive Director for the Erie Sports Commission. “It is our goal to help build and promote this event into a long standing tradition within the Erie community at Lake Erie Speedway and give our traveling guests the best experience possible when they come to visit us.”

Seven hotels have listed special rates for the events. Attendees need to reference the “Race of Champions 250” when booking to receive the dedicated room rate at any of the properties. Room rates range from $69 to $139 per night for the event. A list of participating hotel properties follows:

The Race of Champions is a sanctioning body presenting Modified and Stock Car racing on asphalt and dirt surfaces throughout the Northeast, with events in New York, Pennsylvania and New Jersey. The 67th annual “Race of Champions” weekend will take place in 2017 at Lake Erie Speedway in North East, PA on September 28, 29 and 30. It is the second longest consecutive auto-racing event in North America, second only to the Indianapolis 500.
