Tidbit By: ROBERT SYMONDS / RACE PRO WEEKLY; Info By: CHRIS GENERELLI – NEW MILFORD, PA – Race Pro Weekly has learned that multi-time champion Danny Johnson and his most recent car owner, Chris Gennarelli, have parted ways after multiple seasons together.

Gennarelli took to social media Thursday afternoon about why the two have decided to part ways.

‘Since people are talking, Danny and I have talked about the upcoming season and we were not able to come together on an agreement, so at this time we won’t be racing together this season. People knows that Danny is the best driver out there, we just weren’t able to come to an agreement that could work for the both of us. Sorry to let anyone down by this.’

This currently leaves the Doctor without a ride for the 2017 race season, as his plans included Friday nights at Freedom Speedway and every tour race with the Super Dirtcar Series. He did sign on to drive the Gary Mann-owned Teo Pro Car on many Short Track Super Series events, beginning with the Gobbler at Accord last December.
