Street Stock Showdown Series To Debut In 2017

Column By: MATTHEW WIERNASZ / RPW – MARLBOROUGH, MA – It was announced at The Racers Expo this weekend that the Street Stock Showdown Series will debut this season. The series will be run by North East Mini Stock Tour promoter Bob Guptill. Guptill sent in a statement on the new series.

“It’s great to give the street stock drivers of New England the opportunity to have a touring series built for them the Northeast Street Stock Tour did a great job of finding those drivers that will support such an event and we’re just going to take it to the next step by working along the lines of the Northeast mini Stock Tour and all the positives that have work for that. The new Street Stock Showdown series is a chance for drivers that are changing their cars to run the nhms race to have other opportunities to race the vehicles as well if the series propels like we expected to the race count will increase in the coming seasons” Guptill Said

The series will hold five races with $400 to win except Loudon and $50 to take the green. The schedule is still being worked on for the series. There was a meeting held last week where 10 NESST teams attended the meeting and were excited about this.

Over twenty drivers have registered for the race at New Hampshire Motor Speedway that will be held on Saturday July 1st.
