Sheppard Named RPW NYSSCA Performer Of The Year

Story By: RACE PRO WEEKLY – ALBANY, NY – Last Saturday evening, at the annual New York State Stock Car Association banquet, Waterloo, NY driver Matt Sheppard added to his impressive resume of accolades from the 2016 racing season when he was named the Race Pro Weekly Performer of the Year.

Sheppard dominated Dirt Modified racing last season, capturing a record 12 Super DIRTcar Series event wins and the Championship while nailing down track titles at Canandaigua Motorsports Park and the Utica-Rome Speedway.

The young driver was also named the Eastern Motorsports Press Association Driver of the year last month in King of Prussia, PA.
