Story By: MARTIN BELANGER / CORNWALL MOTOR SPEEDWAY – CORNWALL, ONT – Cornwall Motor Speedway staff is hard at work in preparing the upcoming season at the speedway, here are some news about the speedway.

Successful Mini-Stock Meeting!
A meeting involving over 15 teams in the Mini-Stock was done last Friday evening in Cornwall. Some great and open discussion was done between race teams and speedway management. Some commitments were done by owner and promoter Raymond Lavergne about the amount of laps that will be raised to 15 for regular events, in depth review of the current rules to make them more accessible to outsiders and other items that were raised will be reviewed and communicated in the next couple of weeks.

New Start Time!
After listening to fans and race teams, it was decided that the races will start 30 minutes earlier on Sunday evenings for the 2017 season. Knowing that the next day is a working day for the majority of our people attending our events, we want to make sure to send everyone home in a timely manner. So, please note, starting time will be 6:30pm!

Pizza Logs added to the menu
Popular on the American side as well in Western Ontario, the Pizza Logs will be added to our food menu for the upcoming season, it is pizza sauce, pepperoni and mozzarella cheese wrapped in dough, we are pretty confident that the Pizza Logs will quickly become a fan favourite at the speedway!

2017 schedule in progress
We are working hard in finalising the 2017 schedule, we are aiming to start earlier this season with opening night scheduled on Sunday, May 7th and having nearly 20 events on the calendar. A practice session will be scheduled as well at the beginning of May. The final schedule will be posted on our website and Facebook page in the coming weeks and season passes will be on sale as well.
