WEEDSPORT, NY- April 24, 2014- The cancellation of April’s DIRTcar Sportsman Modified Series opener pushes the series kick-off date to Sunday, June 1, at Cornwall Motor Speedway in Cornwall, Ontario. The open-wheel racing series will be joined at this early summer date by a full show for the DIRTcar Pro Stock Series.The cancelled Sportsman Series race that had been set for Sunday, June 27, at Mohawk International Raceway in Akwesasne, N.Y., will not be rescheduled.

WAYCROSS, GA- April 23, 2014- The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series will return to action this weekend with two single day shows. The series will travel to Hagerstown, MD on Friday, April 25th for the running of the 33rd Annual Stanley Schetrompf Founders Day Classic at the historic Hagerstown Speedway.
Hagerstown Speedway, known as the "Capitol of Dirt Racing" will host the nation's best dirt late model drivers, along with an always-stout group of regional drivers for the ninth time in series history. An impressive streak of eight different winners in eight races at Hagerstown is on the line with Jimmy Owens of Newport, TN returning as the defending champion of this event.

Motor Speedway will be the time and place.Pitkat, a Stafford native, has racked up an impressive 69 career feature victories at his home track in NASCAR Whelen All-American Series action. He’s earned modified track championships and late model division crowns at both Stafford and Thompson (Conn.) Speedway Motorsports Park during his career. FARMER CITY, IL- April 23, 2014- The Sixth Annual Illini 100 this Friday and Saturday, April 25-26, features the World of Outlaws Late Model Series invading Farmer City Raceway for a $20,000-to-win payday.Darrell Lanigan, of Union, Ky., leads the Outlaws into familiar territory with a 36-point margin over Brandon Sheppard, of New Berlin, Ill. Rick Eckert of York, Pa, who recently took over the Rocket Chassis house car ride for Sheppard, is third in the championship with 2009 Illini 100 winner Shane Clanton, of Zebulon, Ga., sitting in fourth. The 2006 champion, Tim McCreadie, of Watertown, N.Y., is fifth in points and aiming to break into the win column this weekend.

SALINA, OK- April 23, 2014- The World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series returns to the Midwest this weekend with events on Friday at Salina Highbanks Speedway and Saturday at Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55.The season is young, but the championship battle already is heating up. Daryn Pittman entered last weekend's Texas Outlaw Nationals presented by American Racing Custom Wheels with the points lead. He lost it Friday night to Donny Schatz then reclaimed it a victory on Saturday night.
