CENTER LISLE, NY- March 4, 2014- Thunder Mountain Speedway is back.
Karl Spoonhower, who built the three-eighths-mile banked clay oval in the early 1990s from a hillside plot of land in Center Lisle, N.Y., returns as track owner and promoter for the 2014 season. Spoonhower has been away from speedway management since 2006. He is justifiably anxious to start a new era of racing at the track he literally built from the ground up.

BINGHAMTON, NY- March 4, 2014- The 64th consecutive year of racing is set to get underway on Sunday, April 6th at Five Mile Point Speedway. The speedway will see one of the biggest schedules in recent memory. Special Modified events will be a big part of the highlights throughout the 2014 racing season.
The Five Mile Point Speedway season opener is set for Sunday, April 6th with the annual RoC Sportsman Spring 40. That day will also feature the RoC Street Stocks along with the 600 c.c. Modified Tour, Four Cylinder Open and Tommy Boy 20 for Factory Stocks. Racing will get underway at 4:00 p.m.

"At the snocross event at Fonda earlier this year I asked Matt (Fonda Speedway promoter Matt DeLorenzo) if he had found anyone to take pictures at Fonda this year," McGaffin said. "He said that he didn't have anyone so we met to talk things over and worked things out for this season. I am looking forward to getting reacquainted with all of the drivers and people at Fonda."
