LONG BEACH, CA- April 14, 2014- The door was open for Andretti Autosport's Ryan Hunter-Reay and James Hinchcliffe, who were running 1-2 (the way they started the 80-lap race), to battle for the victory in the 40th Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach. Until Lap 56.
That's when the door swung wide open for others -- the result of a multi-car pile-up triggered by the front-runner -- to challenge over the final 24 laps on the 1.968-mile, 11-turn street course.

The 62nd Season opener packed the stands full of fans for a battle in all classes with Donnie Corellis taking home the Big Block Modified win, and Robbie Speed scored the win in the closing laps of the Pro Stock Opener.

PERRIS, CA- April 13, 2014- Joey Saldana converted his seventh quick time of the season into his first World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series victory of the season on Saturday night in the SoCal Showdown at Perris Auto Speedway.
Daryn Pittman made him earn it. Saldana was forced to hold off repeated slide job attempts by the defending series champion before eventually taking the checkered flag. Pittman wound up second with his KKR teammate Brad Sweet in third. Sammy Swindell and Paul McMahan rounded out the top five.
