WEST HAVEN, VT- October 21, 2014- Devil’s Bowl Speedway officials have announced that the facility’s final dirt track stock car race of the season will have to wait for one additional day. The Autosaver Ford/Springfield Buick-GMC “Vermont Freedom & Unity” event was postponed by rain last week and was initially rescheduled for Saturday; however, the makeup date has been reset to Sunday, October 26 at 1:00 p.m.

THOMPSON, CT- October 21, 2014- Ben Seitz entered the 2013 Sunoco World Series at Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park with an outside chance of winning the International Supermodified Ass’n (ISMA) championship. He would win that race, but come up short of the championship.Fast forward one year to 2014 and Seitz found himself 46 points behind Jon McKennedy entering the season-ending event at Thompson. Only this time, the results were reversed. He didn’t win the battle, but he won the war.

PORTSMOUTH, OH- October 20, 2014- Scott Bloomquist led the final 39 laps to win his second career Optima Batteries Dirt Track World Championship -Presented by NAPA Auto Parts. Bloomquist entered his 27th DTWC event winning the race back in 2005 for the first time. Bloomquist earned $50,000 for the victory in his Ole Smoky Moonshine, Hawkeye Trucking, Durham Racing Engines, Sweet-Bloomquist entry. The event concluded the 2014 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series season, after being moved back to Sunday at Portsmouth Raceway Park due to rain on Saturday.
