MECHANICSBURG, PA- August 26, 2014-
Williams Grove Speedway will be in action twice during the upcoming Labor Day holiday weekend, on Friday and Sunday night with commemorative events to honor two of the oval’s fallen heroes. Friday August 29 will see the track honor late Promoter Of The Year Jack Gunn with the running of the rich 32nd  annual Jack Gunn Memorial for the 410 sprints.

VERNON, NY- August 25, 2014- On a picture perfect day of weather this past Sunday, fans came to the Utica-Rome Speedway knowing that the Modified Twin 20’s could play a huge role in the championship picture.  When everything was settled on Mirabito Fuel Group and Rasmussen Rents/Broedel Energy night, it was Matt Sheppard and Danny Johnson taking the pair of $2,000 to win NASCAR Modified wins while Mike Walton took the emotional Sportsman feature win.  Chris Carr survived a marathon Pro Stock feature to take the victory while Bill Mason took the photo finish win in the Pure Stocks.

The Lincoln, Indiana native put himself alone on top of the mountain at his home track in front of frenzied fans.

KIRKWOOD, NY- August 25, 2014-
All day rain could not dampen the spirits of the fans and race teams that converged on Five Mile Point Speedway Saturday.  A whopping 152 race teams were on hand with an amazing 333 green flag laps run on the quarter mile oval.  When it was all said and done Mike Colsten found himself back in the Modified victory lane for the second time this season.  Colsten, the defending Track Champion reclaimed the point lead entering this  Saturday night’s Season Championship point finale.

SELINSGROVE, PA- August 25, 2014- Following a string of strong finishes at Selinsgrove Speedway in recent years, Robbie Stillwaggon of Burlington, N.J., scored his first career win at the Snyder County half-mile oval in Saturday night’s 25-lap 360 sprint car feature. Stillwaggon, driving the Quality Auto Body No. 89, held off three-time winner TJ Stutts of Liverpool for the $2,000 victory and became the track’s eighth different 360 sprint car winner this season.

It was one of the tightest points battles in years at Bowman Gray Stadium, but when the dust settled on Saturday, Danny Bohn was the race winner and the track’s new champion.For the last 18 years, the Brad’s Golf Cars Modified Series title has belonged to Tim Brown, Burt Myers, or Junior Miller. Entering Saturday night, there was a tight three-way race between three competitors who were each fighting for their first championship.
