Joey Polewarczyk, JR. used a two-lap shootout to best point leader Larry Gelinas en route to grabbing his second career victory in the Granite State Pro Stock Series (GSPSS).

Newcomer to the GSPSS Bobby Nadeau led the field to green with Marston Mills, MA native Billy Brady to his outside.  Nadeau proved he had a fast car, jumping out to a quick lead.  The advantage would be wiped away as the first of 6 cautions flew for Russ Hersey’s spin in turn 3 on lap 14.

SELINSGROVE, PA- July 27, 2014- Mark Smith of Sunbury, PA won a thriller Saturday night at the Selinsgrove Speedway.  Smith took the lead on lap fifteen after a battle with Derek Locke then held off a last lap challenge from TJ Stutts to earn his third Rislone URC Sprint victory of the season and his eighth career win.   Stutts finished a strong second followed by Derek Locke, Jason Clauss and Brock Zearfoss.  Smith earned $2,500 for the win in the 25 lap feature event.

INDIANAPOLIS, IN- July 27, 2014-
Ty Dillon held off a charging Kyle Busch in the closing laps of the Lilly Diabetes 250 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, but he had to win the first NASCAR Nationwide Series race of his career with a fuel cell approaching empty.

Dillon grabbed the lead from Busch, the pole winner, moments after a restart on Lap 77 of 100. He soon opened a lead of one second over the most prolific winner in series history, but it wasn’t without some pinpoint calculations on the part of crew chief Danny Stockman.

Suddenly the ace qualifier at Stewart-Haas Racing this year, Kevin Harvick dominated Saturday’s NASCAR Sprint Cup Series time trials at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, winning the pole for Sunday’s Crown Royal 400 in track-record speed.

Fastest in all three rounds of knockout qualifying, Harvick earned his fourth Coors Light Pole Award of the season, his second at the Brickyard and the 10th of his career.

MALTA, NY- July 26, 2014-
Race fans at the Albany-Saratoga Speedway are used to seeing the Vinny Salerno owned four star machine sitting in victory lane following the night’s Upstate GMC Dealers DIRTcar Modified feature event. However it has been since opening weekend two years ago that the Salerno led group brought home the lion’s share of the purse at the track.

That all changed Friday night as Pennsylvania super star Jeff Strunk brought the team back to victory lane in the night’s 35 lap event. The win was Strunk’s first career triumph at the fast, four tenths of a mile oval and came following an entertaining battle with Fort Plain’s Jeremy Wilder.

BREWERTON, NY- July 26, 2014-
When Matt Billings from Brockville, Ontario decided to call the Brewerton Speedway his Friday night home, he knew the competition was some of the toughest anywhere in the Northeast. Coming into Friday night’s racing Billings sat 10th in points with two top-five and three top-ten finishes in his first full season at the ‘D-Shaped Dirt Demon’.

In the 35-Lap Tracey Road Equipment DIRTcar Modified feature, Billings would battle leader Matt Hulsizer before the first caution on lap-nineteen. On the restart Billings using the top of the speedway would drive by Hulsizer to be scored the new leader and from there he drove a flawless race for the popular win.
