BRIGHTON, ONTARIO- December 7, 2013- It would be hard to find anyone who hasn't heard the casual expression 'close only counts in horseshoes...or hand grenades'. At the end of the 2013 season, Corey Earl discovered that close also counts in the world of short track stock car racing. After turning in a solid performance throughout the schedule, Earl - who works as Operations Manager at the family business, Hotch's Auto Parts - was tied for the Pro Late Model track championship with good friend - but bitter racing rival - Charlie Sandercock. The pair agreed to stage a head-to-head match race to determine the title. Although things didn't work out in his favour - partially due to a bent shock on the right front of his car - the 28 year old still sees it in a positive light.

HAZLE TOWNSHIP, PA- December 7, 2013- It was exactly one year ago over the Thanksgiving weekend that Trevor Kobylarz attended the yearly American Racing Drivers Club (ARDC) banquet at Lobitz Catering Hall in Hazle Township and watched Tim Buckwalter yield in the accolades of winning the championship of the time honored Midget car racing organization, one of the most respected in the Nation.Kobylarz’s car owners, Dyke and Carey Becker, did secure the owners title but he was runner-up in driver points and from that night vowed to return to the banquet with nothing less than the top prize. Fast-forward to last weekend’s 2013 awards ceremony and it was mission accomplished for the 20-year old who hails from Birdsboro.
