AKWESASNE, NY- August 30, 2014- Everything was on the line this past Friday night at the Mohawk International Raceway as drivers were searching for that little something extra to try and take away a coveted track championship, and join some great drivers from years past.

The 358 Modifieds were set to not only conclude their regular season but also the Frenchie's Chevy Runs Deep 358 Modified Series was on the line as Danny O'Brien, Chris Raabe and Brian McDonald were all in line for the title while Billy Dunn was also back in line for his 3rd straight track championship as well.

Lucas Wolfe wired the field and held off Lance Dewease to claim victory in Friday night’s 30-lap, 32nd annual Jack Gunn Memorial for 410 sprint cars, worth $6,000.

Wolfe started second in the field and beat polesitter Don Kreitz Jr. to the punch at the start to take the lead.

OSWEGO, NY- August 30, 2014- Oswego Speedway’s Budweiser International Classic ‘Fast 14’ time trials proved to be historic Friday night, as Joey Payne shattered the Supermodified track record with a lap of 15.802 seconds at 142.387 mph, to set on the pole for Sunday’s 58th annual International Classic.

Payne’s blistering lap aboard the Graham/Strong Racing Xtreme No. 99 bested a field of 37 Supermodifieds to take time on Friday night, and was the fastest of three drivers to turn the Speedway’s first laps under 16 seconds in a non-wing Supermodified.

“This has been one of the toughest tragedies I've ever had to deal with both professionally and personally,” Stewart said in a statement he had written. “This is something that will definitely affect my life forever. This is a sadness and a pain that I hope no one ever has to experience in their life.
